What's your motivation?

<<<<<< This is my current 'motivational' picture, and my current short term goal (September 25th my 37th birthday).  I was a size 10 and 165# in this picture, my husband was able to life me without breaking his back (he is amazingly strong).  I have a couple of my 'skinny' pictures above my computer so I see them constantly, that's what keeps me going.  I am SO close to my BMI goal (179.5) to get into the 'overweight' class instead of the 'obese' class, as well as so close to being 1/2 way (47.3# loss) to my goal weight!  I have been stalled for the past 3-4 weeks going up and down right around 183, well I have had enough so I decided to go back to what I know works for my body.  The Lean For Life diet.  I follow the book that they have.  I have done it before (in 2004/2005) so I know I can do it again.  I have a new determination right now which feels awesome.

I have had a few 'lax' weeks and I know that's what was keeping me stalled and yo yo'ing with the pounds.  I am working harder in my workouts, and really watching what I eat.  I am determined to make it to my goal.  Nothing is going to stop me, and I am going to keep it up with the exercising and eating right.  A few moments of yummy tastes in my mouth isn't worth the pounds that pack on.  I have metabolic syndrome so losing weight is doubly hard so I have to really work to lose a pound.  It also tends to make you carb sensitive which I KNOW I am.  So that's why the Lean for Life Diet works for me as it's 50-100 carbs per day.

I don't think it has sunk in really how close I am to being 1/2 way to my goal.  My overall goal was to lose 94.6#, that's pretty amazing results for just over 4 months of being on my diet.  I have also lost 36", that's 3 feet of blubber!  Good grief, I really am doing pretty great.

I had my visit with my psychiatrist today (I am bipolar) and I am doing GREAT :)  So we are going to 'maintenance' visits of pretty much twice a year unless anything changes then we will go more frequently.  I love it because we had to switch my meds a few months back because I was on Seroquel and it made me gain 40# in 3 months.  NOT COOL, so I am on Geodon and Wellbutrin and feeling pretty great.  I am functioning pretty much most of the time.  By functioning I mean, doing household chores regularly like doing the dishes, laundry, keeping the kitchen counters cleaned off, changing cat boxes and various other things like that.  I have really been trying hard to do those things.  When I get manic (which is part of bipolar), I tend to hyper focus on things and leave other things undone.  So me functioning is a good thing.  I also have always been able to function pretty great at work so that's not an issue.

Trying another new thing called Saturday 9, it can be found here:  http://samanthasaturday9.blogspot.com 1) Do you come up with your brightest ideas early in the morning or late at night?   I would say that I am most creative later in the evenings 2) Are you more likely to feel romantic at night or in the morning?  Depends on the day :-), but usually at night 3) Do you shower in the morning, after work or before bed?   I shower in the mornings, it helps wake me up 4) Billie Holiday was just 44 when she died. Is there an artist whose early demise surprised and saddened you?   Not an artist but Heath Ledger's death really shocked me and took me by surprise.  He is one of my all time favorite actors. 5) Billie was known as "Lady Day." Do you have a cool nickname? (If not, feel free to give yourself one right now.)   No cool nicknames, as a kid I was "Woodie or Fruitcake".....don't ask LOL 6) When was the last time you had the blues?   ...

Who Are you?

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person?   I am a very compassionate and have a big heart 86. What is your greatest weakness?   Interrupting people when they are talking 87. Are you going to run for President in 2016?   Nope, I don't care about politics all that much 88. Are you generally self-contained? No, I do like to talk, except t...
