In October Rob got an abscess due to uncontrolled diabetes. It has been a long hard road to recovery, and he has had an excruciating amount of pain. It is on the mend now, but it was an eye opening experience and has gotten his diabetes much better under control. He is seeing an endocrinologist now who has really helped.

We have been trying for a sibling for Char since January 2017 and have had no success. We have had a few failed insemination attempts even with Rob on clomid for low testosterone. We found out in November we are losing our fertility health insurance (which covers IVF 100%) as of January, so we were hopeless as the fertility clinic did not have any openings for consults until January and IVF cycles until March, well by some miracle the nurses have really gone to bat for us and we got a consult last Friday and are due to start IVF cycle this week (waiting for our favorite Aunt to show up). Fighting with the medical insurance though........they require pre-auths, well we have to start the injectable meds on day 2 of my period (which is due to start ANY day), so we're (okay I'm kind of freaking) out just a little bit. Since starting this post, we went through the IVF Cycle ended with one Embryo but found out on Christmas Eve that it didn't take, so back to the drawing board. We have to go in for consults with my specialist as well as Rob's fertility specialist. So that's life.
