Merry Christmas from Curls to Paws!

Merry Christmas from Curls to Paws!

From our family to yours, we wish you a day filled with joy, laughter, and all the things that make your heart feel full. Christmas is a time for celebration, reflection, and of course, a little bit of pampering—for both you and your furry friends!

As we gather with loved ones and enjoy the holiday magic, let’s also take a moment to show some extra love to our curls and our pets. Here are a few holiday tips to keep both looking and feeling their best this season:

Holiday Curl Care: Keep Your Curls Merry & Bright

  1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Winter air can be drying for curls, so make sure you're using a hydrating deep conditioner to keep them soft and bouncy.
  2. Protect Your Curls from the Cold: Opt for satin-lined hats or scarves to shield your curls from the cold without causing frizz.
  3. Pre-Party Styling: For holiday gatherings, embrace festive updos like a curly bun or a half-up style with holiday accessories to show off your curls while keeping them protected.

Holiday Pet Tips: Keeping Your Furry Friends Safe & Happy

  1. Watch Out for Dangerous Decorations: While Christmas lights and ornaments are beautiful, they can be tempting for curious pets. Keep fragile decorations out of reach and opt for pet-safe alternatives.
  2. Mind the Treats: With all the holiday snacks and rich foods around, be mindful of what your pets have access to. Avoid feeding them anything that could be harmful, like chocolate or fatty foods, and treat them to special pet-safe goodies instead.
  3. Create a Cozy Pet Space: Holidays can be bustling with activity, which might overwhelm your pets. Make sure they have a quiet, comfortable space to retreat to when they need a break from the festivities.

Reflecting on 2024 and Looking Ahead

This year has been full of growth, learning, and love. Whether it’s been perfecting our curl routines or giving our pets the best care, it’s been a journey worth celebrating! As we look toward 2025, let’s continue to embrace our curls, our pets, and the beautiful connections we share.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being part of the Curls to Paws community. Let’s head into the new year with gratitude, excitement, and a whole lot of love for our curls and our furry companions!

Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a joyful New Year!

Who Are you?

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. 🌿 CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. 💛 What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar?
