Day 2 Refresh Results

Day 2 Refresh Routine & Results

This is me 10 minutes after waking up letting my hair 'rest'

This is why I must 'refresh' my hair in the mornings after 'wash 'day.  Yesterday was wash day and my hair was on point!  I got so many compliments on my hair it was AWESOME!  I clarified my hair, deep conditioned and then washed as I normally would and styled like usual, but it was on point.  I finally have all my products in my line up and the results were stunning!

See absolutely AMAZING!  Love the definition I got and all the curls!  Just so happy with the overall process and results!  Loving Curly Girl Method and what it's doing for my hair!

Anyways how I refresh is I use the "Bowl Method" basically I use warm water in a large bowl, dunk my head in it and then squish my hair to 'reactivate' the product in my hair, then I add about a quarter size amount of Aussie Instant Freeze Gel into my wet hands and add by roping then squish it into my hair.  Then I plop my hair into an old t-shirt, while I put on my makeup and get dressed.

Then I dry my hair with a diffuser, I hover diffuse for the first little bit, then I pixie diffuse.  Hubby surprised me for mothers day with the Xtavia Diffuser, well it wouldn't fit on my old hair dryer so he picked me up this new hair dryer as well and it's so powerful!  I love it!  It's more WAY more powerful than my old hair dryer, I swear it cut the drying process in half.

Anyways I pixie diffuse to about 80% dry then I add about a dime sized amount of the Aussie Instant Freeze Gel into wet hands and scrunch into my hair and finish pixie diffusing until my hair is dry.  Then I let my hair sit in the cast for about 20-30 min or so, longer if I have time and/or the patience.....LMAO.  Then I SOTC (Scrunch out the Crunch).

Here are my results after SOTC (Scrunch out the crunch)

Such great results for 2nd day hair!  So happy and in love with the results!  I love the Curly Girl Method.

So does my daughter.  Doing her hair used to be a constant battle, she would whine, complain and just hate having her hair done, and it was a tangled, ratty mess most of the time.  Now she meets me at the door and before I even have a chance to go the bathroom when I wake up she's "Mom, can we do my hair" and this morning she met me with the squirt bottle with water and her conditioning spray.  LMAO.  She's getting great results.  We haven't even used the conditioner on her as she hasn't had the opportunity for a bath yet due to my work schedule.  So these are the results with just the conditioning spray (which is NOT CGM approved).  We will be getting a spray that is CGM approved next payday.  I already fount one that I'm going to be getting.

Anyways here is her hair now:

Is there an artist whose early demise surprised and saddened you?   Not an artist but Heath Ledger's death really shocked me and took me by surprise.  He is one of my all time favorite actors. 5) Billie was known as "Lady Day." Do you have a cool nickname? (If not, feel free to give yourself one right now.)   No cool nicknames, as a kid I was "Woodie or Fruitcake".....don't ask LOL 6) When was the last time you had the blues?   ...

Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85.
