💇‍♀️ Behind My Hair Routine: Products, Tools & Tips That Work

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 12, 2025

After losing 50% of my hair’s density and volume, I knew I needed more than just hope. I needed a real plan, rooted in healing—not hype.

The journey back has taken time, trial and error, and a lot of gentleness. But I’m finally seeing the results: thicker roots, less shedding, and a healthier scalp.

If you’re dealing with hair loss or just trying to support stronger growth, this post is for you. Here’s what I use, how I use it, and why it works—without the overwhelm.

✨ My Hair Routine: A Simple, Healing Breakdown

🌿

1. Collagen Peptides (Green Compass)

This is my #1 must-have.

I take Green Compass collagen peptides daily to support hair growth from the inside out. It’s clean, bioavailable, and works alongside my supplements and oiling routine to boost scalp health, elasticity, and strand strength.

If you’re not feeding your follicles from the inside, topical treatments can only do so much.

🧴

2. Shampoo Rotation (Daily Washing)

Yep—I wash my hair every day.

I used to think this was bad, but my dermatologist encouraged it for scalp health and buildup removal. I rotate through:

  • Head & Shoulders Tea Tree Shampoo (for scalp stimulation and detox)

  • EverPure Bond Repair (for damaged, fragile strands)

  • Nizoral (2x/week to reduce inflammation and DHT buildup)

This rotation keeps my scalp clean and balanced while minimizing irritation and hormonal shedding triggers.

💧

3. Scalp Massage + Hair Oiling (Nightly)

Before bed, I apply oil to my scalp (argan, rosemary, or castor oil blends) and massage for 5–10 minutes.

This boosts circulation, helps nutrients absorb deeper, and relaxes my nervous system before sleep.

Bonus: It’s a form of self-care that connects me back to my body.

💊

4. Hair, Skin & Nails Supplements

I take a targeted vitamin daily that includes:

  • Biotin

  • Folic Acid

  • MSM

  • Zinc

  • Vitamin D

These support healthy regrowth and reduce breakage. I’ve seen my nails strengthen right alongside my hair!

🧼

5. Silk Pillowcase + Loose Braids

Friction can cause breakage—especially when your hair is fragile.

I sleep on a silk pillowcase and braid my hair loosely to keep it protected and tangle-free while I rest.

🔥

6. Low-Heat Blow Drying

Air-drying left my scalp too damp, which can slow healing and contribute to flakiness or fungal issues.

So I now use low heat with a protectant spray, making sure my scalp is fully dry before styling.

💆‍♀️

7. CBD for Stress + Hormone Support

Stress is a huge trigger for hair loss—and CBD has helped me regulate my nervous system, improve sleep, and reduce cortisol.

I use:

  • Nano Jellies (Green Compass) daily for calm + clarity

  • Sleep Jellies to support rest and recovery

  • Unwind THC Jellies on high-stress days to soothe my system

Less stress = more growth. It’s that simple.

💛 What I Don’t Do Anymore

  • No harsh styling products

  • No tight ponytails or buns

  • No chemical straightening or heat overload

  • No ignoring my body’s signals when something feels off

🌿 Final Thoughts

This routine isn’t trendy—it’s therapeutic.

It’s what my body needed to begin healing. And now, it’s what keeps my hair growing stronger week by week.

If you’re on a hair recovery journey, know this:

You’re not alone. You’re not broken. And yes—you can regrow confidence along with your hair.

I’m here if you ever want to talk through what’s worked for me or want help building your own healing routine.

🌿 CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. 💛 What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar?
