💫 What to Do When Motivation Fades (And You Still Want Results)

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 4, 2025

Let’s be honest: motivation isn’t always there.

It’s easy to feel inspired at the beginning of a journey—new goals, fresh energy, maybe even a brand-new planner or gym shoes.

But what happens when that shiny motivation fades… and real life kicks in?

You’re tired.

You’re busy.

You’re overwhelmed.

You don’t feel like doing the thing.

And yet—you still want results. You still want to grow. You still care about your goals.

So what do you do when your drive disappears?

Here’s what I’ve learned: you don’t need motivation. You need momentum.

💛 1. Return to Your

Why

Remind yourself why you started.

Not the surface-level “I want to lose weight” or “I want clearer skin.”

The real why.

  • “I want to feel strong enough to run with my kids.”

  • “I want to wake up without anxiety dominating my morning.”

  • “I want to trust myself to follow through.”

Write it down. Speak it out loud. Let it ground you when the energy isn’t there.

🔁 2. Focus on

One

 Thing

When your brain says “I don’t want to do anything,” meet it with compassion—not pressure.

Pick just one thing that moves you forward.

  • Take your CBD.

  • Make a nourishing meal.

  • Go for a short walk.

  • Journal for 5 minutes.

  • Drink a glass of water.

One small action > no action at all.

Momentum builds from movement, not motivation.

🌿 3. Make It Feel

Good

, Not Punishing

If your routine feels like punishment, of course you’ll avoid it.

Can your workout be a walk with your dogs in the sunshine?

Can your meal be something colorful and comforting?

Can your supplements go in a cute basket with a quote that inspires you?

Create a vibe you want to show up for.

💬 4. Let Discipline Be Gentle

Discipline isn’t being harsh with yourself—it’s being consistent even when it’s hard.

Gentle discipline says:

“I know you’re tired, but we can still do something small.”

“I know today isn’t perfect, but we’re still moving forward.”

You’re not lazy. You’re likely just overwhelmed or depleted.

Be firm with your habits—but tender with your heart.

✨ 5. Show Up Imperfectly

The key to lasting results isn’t perfection—it’s persistence.

You can show up messy.

You can show up tired.

You can show up unmotivated.

Just show up.

The days you don’t want to are often the days that matter most.

🌱 When Motivation Fades… You Grow Through Consistency

Your future self isn’t going to remember the perfect days.

She’ll remember the ones where you kept going anyway.

She’ll thank you for taking your wellness seriously—even when it wasn’t easy.

You’re allowed to slow down.

You’re allowed to rest.

But don’t quit. You’re closer than you think.

Is there an artist whose early demise surprised and saddened you?   Not an artist but Heath Ledger's death really shocked me and took me by surprise.  He is one of my all time favorite actors. 5) Billie was known as "Lady Day." Do you have a cool nickname? (If not, feel free to give yourself one right now.)   No cool nicknames, as a kid I was "Woodie or Fruitcake".....don't ask LOL 6) When was the last time you had the blues?   ...

Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person?   I am a very compassionate and have a big heart 86. What is your greatest weakness?   Interrupting people when they are talking 87. 🌿 CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. 💛 What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar? Now enter: your Endocannabino...
