Recovery

Sorry I haven't written for a few days, have been in a bit of a funk.  On a positive note hubby said I have been laughing a lot more at TV shows and such more than he has seen me laugh in years, so I must be feeling somewhat better.

I met with my counselor today and we spent the majority of the time discussing my relationship with my husband.  We have a pretty good relationship for the most part, but as with anything there is room for improvement.  One thing that the counselor talked about was making sure each of our needs were being met.  He compared it to the daily food pyramid.  So my assignment for the week was to find 5 different things that I need from my husband each day and 5 different things that he needs from me each day, and it can't be like 1 serving of hugs, it has to be significant such as 7-8 servings of physical contact.  It's going to be hard to think of some good needs.  I will always go for more physical contact, I love being touched by my husband both in just caring and intimate ways.  One thing that the counselor said was that the national average for couples who have been married 10 years is to have sex twice a week and that is only because they have kids........yeah um........we won't go there.....definitely room for improvement.  It does seem that any time we 'arrange' for it to happen one of us gets sick or doesn't feel like it.  Just how life is I guess.

As for the headaches I tried a remedy yesterday of himalayan sea salt and lemon juice and it actually worked.  So my husband suggested trying Gatorade type drinks.  I went and got some Powerade Zero and tried some today, while it didn't eliminate the headache it helped it some.  I am going to start focusing more on triggers and I have decided I consume WAY WAY WAY too much soda (2+ liters per day), so I am  going to start by cutting back to 2 cans + a large fountain drinks sized cup, then will gradually cut back to just 2 cans a day and see how that helps.  Soda is a double edged sword, it can cause and help with headaches so it will be interesting to see if it helps.

Is there an artist whose early demise surprised and saddened you?   Not an artist but Heath Ledger's death really shocked me and took me by surprise.  He is one of my all time favorite actors. 5) Billie was known as "Lady Day." Do you have a cool nickname? (If not, feel free to give yourself one right now.)   No cool nicknames, as a kid I was "Woodie or Fruitcake".....don't ask LOL 6) When was the last time you had the blues?   ...

Who Are you?

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person?   I am a very compassionate and have a big heart 86. What is your greatest weakness?   Interrupting people when they are talking 87.
