Pet Wellness from the Inside Out: My Yorkies’ Daily Routine

If you know me, you know my dogs are more than pets—they’re family. Gabby and Maci, my two adorable Yorkies, are my tiny, fluffy shadows and emotional support squad. Their health and happiness matter just as much as my own, and that’s why I take their wellness seriously—from the inside out.

Today I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing their daily routine, what they eat, and the supplements that help them thrive every single day.

A Fresh, Whole-Food Based Diet
Gabby and Maci start and end their day with a fresh, homemade meal made with love (and a whole lot of tail wags). I feed them a balanced blend of:

  • Ground beef

  • Cooked rice

  • Spinach

  • Peas & carrots

This gives them protein, fiber, and nutrients from real, whole ingredients. I love knowing exactly what’s going into their bodies, and I’ve seen a huge difference in their energy and digestion since switching to fresh food.

They also have free access throughout the day to PawTree Chicken & Oatmeal Dry Food to keep them satisfied and supported between meals. It’s gentle on their tummies and made with clean ingredients I trust.

Supplements: Wrapped in Liverwurst, Delivered with Love
Let’s be real—Gabby is the pickiest eater on the planet. If it doesn’t pass the sniff test, she isn’t touching it. So I sneak their daily supplements into a small bite of liverwurst, and it works like a charm.

Here’s what they get every day:

  • Multivitamin – Supports their overall health and fills in any nutritional gaps

  • PawTree Gastro Pro Plus – For gut health, digestion, and immune support

  • PawTree Salmon & Pollock Oil – Promotes healthy skin, soft coats, and heart health

  • PawTree Plaque Control – Keeps their teeth clean and breath fresh without brushing

  • PawTree Joint Support Plus – Helps keep their joints mobile, especially as they get older

These supplements have made a huge difference in everything from coat quality to digestion to overall vitality. And because I give them consistently, I know I’m helping them stay healthier, longer.

Why It Matters
Just like with people, prevention matters. I’m not waiting until there’s a problem to take care of my dogs—I’m supporting their wellness now, every day, from the inside out.

And honestly? They deserve it.

I see the difference. I feel it in their energy. I notice it in their soft coats, bright eyes, and happy tail wags.

Who Are you?

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. 🌿 CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. 💛 What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar?
