As for my bipolar, I have been pretty stable since last Summer. I am on Seroquel and Wellbutrin. I have however gained 40# on the Seroquel since I started the increased dose in November. So I talked with my Psychiatrist last week and we are going to try to wean me off of it and find a different mood stabilizer that doesn't have the weight gain properties. I have also been diagnosed with High Blood Pressure which I am sure is weight related. I am on blood pressure pills now.
I have decided that I am going to go back on the "Lean For Life" diet. I weigh way too much and the scrub pants I wear for work and killing my thighs because they are so tight. Gotta get that fixed asap! We can't afford new pants. So I will be starting that diet in the next few days. Also going to increase my exercise which is supposed to be good for the bipolar too. I really like the Walk At Home DVD's they are really good for me so I will probably try to do those 4-5 days a week. I have 2 short days at work then 2 days off, then I can pick another day to do it. I think I will try to exercise Sun, Mon, Weds, Fri and Sat. I am tired of being fat and I need to help my husband lose weight too, he has high cholesterol and high blood pressure as well as is having a difficult time regulating his diabetes right now, we've had a couple of health scares in the last few months.
Good Luck!
