20 Years Later: How I Found My One (Yes… Before We Even Met in Person)

April 9, 2005 — the day I married the man who would change everything.

This year marks 20 years since we said “I do,” and honestly? It still feels surreal that we found each other the way we did… and that it worked so beautifully.

๐Ÿ’ป Let’s Rewind: The Beginning

Back in 2004, online dating was just starting to gain traction—and I was navigating life, love, and a lot of uncertainty.

Enter: LDSSingles.org.

That’s where I met Rob—the man who would become my forever.

We connected through messages and late-night chats, talking about everything from faith to family to our dreams. The connection was instant, and something in my heart just knew… this was different.

๐Ÿ’ฌ “Will You Marry Me?” … Before We Even Met?!

Yup, you read that right.

Rob proposed before we had ever met face-to-face.

And I said yes.

(Okay… technically I left him hanging in the chat for a minute while I prayed about it ๐Ÿ˜…)

But the answer came loud and clear—YES—and I’ve never doubted it since.

๐Ÿ’ What Happened After That?

We met in person.

We clicked just as much as we had online.

And a few months later, we stood together and promised forever.

Now, here we are—20 years, 1 daughter, and a small zoo later—still standing, still choosing each other, still laughing, growing, and building a life together.

๐Ÿพ Our Family Today

We live in beautiful Bountiful, Utah, with our amazing daughter Charlotte (who brings so much joy, sass, and sparkle to our lives).

And we’re blessed to share our home with the most adorable, chaotic, love-filled crew of animals:

๐Ÿถ Gabby & Maci – our sweet, spunky Yorkies

๐Ÿฉ Liberty – our gentle and loyal Standard Poodle

๐Ÿฑ Penny, Bernie, Tiggles, & Love – our four quirky, cuddly cats

๐Ÿฆ” Peanut & Aurora – our delightful hedgehogs, who definitely keep things interesting!

Together, we’ve created a life that’s far from perfect—but full of love, laughter, and the kind of peace that only comes from being with your person.

๐Ÿ’ž What I’ve Learned After 20 Years Together

๐Ÿ’ฌ It’s okay if your story doesn’t look like everyone else’s.

๐Ÿ’ฌ It’s okay to take leaps when your heart says yes.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Love is built in the tiny, quiet moments more than the big ones.

๐Ÿ’ฌ And when you find your one—you’ll just know.

Rob isn’t just my husband—he’s my best friend, my safe place, the man who holds my hand through anxiety attacks, who cheered me on through hair loss, weight loss, pet loss, and healing.

He’s my quiet strength, my funny guy, my late-night drive buddy, and the one who still makes me feel like I did when I said yes in a chat window all those years ago.

๐Ÿ’› To Anyone Still Waiting for Love…

Don’t settle.

Don’t rush.

And don’t rule out something just because it’s unconventional.

Sometimes, the greatest love stories don’t start with a fairytale meet-cute.

Sometimes, they start online, with a prayer, a gut feeling… and a yes.

And they turn into something even better than you imagined.

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. ๐ŸŒฟ CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. ๐Ÿ’› What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar?
