A cleaning we will go

Today I decided to tackle my pantry a little more.....got the 3 top shelves done on all 3 sides of my pantry....still have 2 more shelves and the floor.  It feels great...it was a lot of work, cleaning the shelves, sorting through stuff.  I don't know how but Rob and I like to accumulate appliances....even threw some of those out that don't work.

Someone asked me what natural methods I have found or that my Dr recommended for me to deal with my anxiety.  I can be a highly anxious person, and my therapist said that with all the trauma/events in my past and not properly dealing with them, it's no wonder I have anxiety.  I was quite proud of myself today though.  I am going through Chapter 13 Bankruptcy (due to my outrageous spending spree) and today was my confirmation hearing.  I didn't panic, freak out or play my normal 'what if' game that I do.  I did feel a little panic coming up when I had to take the stand, but I did some of the breathing exercises my counselor gave me yesterday and that totally helped.  Woot Woot!  I have to go back in about 30 days.....on my birthday, joy for me.....to appease the Trustees who are being super picky cause with both Rob and I's income we are above median case....which IMO isn't fair, as he's not declaring with me....why should his income have to count?

Also today I refilled my weekly pill/vitamin container for the 3rd time and YES I took all of my pills!  Yay!!  Yay!!!  Making progress.

So here are a few things I have discovered recently to help with my anxiety:

Android Phone Applications:
 I think I have pretty much all of them installed, but in dealing with my anxiety here are my favorites:
 Qi Gong Meditation Relaxation
Worry Box
Stop Panic and Anxiety

For Meditation I like these:
Qi Gong Meditation Relaxation
Tranquilize (love this one in a lavender epsom salt bath)

I also use Bach's Flower Essences
(I put 4 drops of each one in an amber dropper bottle, 5cc of Vegetable Glycerin and fill the rest with bottled water)
Rescue Remedy to help when I am feeling super panicky and feel an anxiety/panic attack coming on
White Chestnut - calms repetitive, worrying thoughts;
Crab Apple - for contaminated or unclean feelings, and helps people who dislike the way they look and the way they are;

If you are trying to lose weight I use the "Emotional Eating Support" remedies which are:
Chestnut Bud (Aesculus hippocastanum) – helps you observe your mistakes objectively so you can learn from them and move on.  When you find yourself repeating the same dieting mistakes, Chestnut Bud helps you gain knowledge from your experience.
Crab Apple
(Malus pumila) – helps you accept your physical imperfections and feel better about the way you are.  When you dislike something about yourself, Crab Apple helps you accept yourself and your imperfections.
Cherry Plum
(Prunus cerasifera) – helps you act rationally and think clearly with a calm & balanced mind when you fear losing control.  When you fear you might lose control of your diet, Cherry Plum can help you to think more about your choices.

Is there an artist whose early demise surprised and saddened you?   Not an artist but Heath Ledger's death really shocked me and took me by surprise.  He is one of my all time favorite actors. 5) Billie was known as "Lady Day." Do you have a cool nickname? (If not, feel free to give yourself one right now.)   No cool nicknames, as a kid I was "Woodie or Fruitcake".....don't ask LOL 6) When was the last time you had the blues?   ...

Who Are you?

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person?   I am a very compassionate and have a big heart 86. What is your greatest weakness?   Interrupting people when they are talking 87. Are you going to run for President in 2016?   Nope, I don't care about politics all that much 88. Are you generally self-contained? No, I do like to talk, except t...

  Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues.
