After the storm

Today we had a thunderstorm, and there was a small rainbow.  It got me to thinking that my 'storm' was my event a few weeks ago, and now the storm is clearing and things are looking bright (rainbow).  As you can tell I LOVE analogies.  I am doing extremely well.  I did have a bit of anxiety, but not an attack while we were driving in the rain (stems from being ran off the road in a rain storm 15+ years ago by a semi truck), but
I did my breathing exercises and was fine.  Things are really looking up, I feel great and am getting more accomplished both at home and at work, and feeling generally great.  I heard some news from the previous place I worked (the vet) and it really sounds like things are going to hell in a handbasket (pardon my language), but it's the truth. I am glad that I got out when I did, from the sounds of it, they aren't going to be in business much longer.    I love my new job as a Pet Groomer, today I got to do a 'comb' cut on a golden retriever and it turned out cute.  She had been going to several other groomers before finding us, and never got consistent results, she likes the dog trimmed but not shaved down and they would always shave her down to the skin, she even showed them a picture of exactly what she wanted.......so I did her about 1/2 inch long going reverse on her coat with guard combs.    The owner absolutely loved her.  Don't mind my ratty table....I'm going to build me a new table top then take it to Rhino Linings and have them cover it.  This table is 12 years old and has seen a lot lol.  Work is going really well and I love just about every minute of it.  I did get bit by a little poor senile terrier mix today, she was so grumpy it took me 20 minutes to get a muzzle on her so she couldn't bite me.  Sadly today was probably her last groom as she stressed out so much she made herself have a seizure, and that was just when she was standing on the table drying under a stand dryer.  Very sad, but she is like 16 years old.   That is not going to be the fun part of this job as they have quite a few elderly dogs for clients.  :-(

Today was the first morning I really had to force myself to eat so I could take my pills.  I just wasn't hungry this morning.   But I did and took my pills :-)  I think sometimes that I take so many pills that it counts as another meal LOL!

Sorry for the format.....it's something hanky in blogger.

Saturday 9: Good Morning, Heartache

Trying another new thing called Saturday 9, it can be found here:  http://samanthasaturday9.blogspot.com 1) Do you come up with your brightest ideas early in the morning or late at night?   I would say that I am most creative later in the evenings 2) Are you more likely to feel romantic at night or in the morning?  Depends on the day :-), but usually at night 3) Do you shower in the morning, after work or before bed?   I shower in the mornings, it helps wake me up 4) Billie Holiday was just 44 when she died. Is there an artist whose early demise surprised and saddened you?   Not an artist but Heath Ledger's death really shocked me and took me by surprise.  He is one of my all time favorite actors. 5) Billie was known as "Lady Day." Do you have a cool nickname? (If not, feel free to give yourself one right now.)   No cool nicknames, as a kid I was "Woodie or Fruitcake".....don't ask LOL 6) When was the last time you had the blues?   ...

Who Are you?

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person?   I am a very compassionate and have a big heart 86. What is your greatest weakness?   Interrupting people when they are talking 87. Are you going to run for President in 2016?   Nope, I don't care about politics all that much 88. Are you generally self-contained? No, I do like to talk, except t...
