๐Ÿ’ช How Fitness Became My Therapy (And Still Is)

I didn’t start working out because I loved it.

I started because I needed to feel something different—anything other than anxiety, overwhelm, and the spirals of stress I was caught in.

And what began as a way to cope… slowly transformed into a way to heal.

๐ŸŒฟ It Was Never Just About Weight Loss

Sure, I had physical goals—like losing weight, regaining my strength, or feeling better in my body again. But the deeper truth?

Fitness gave me a way to take my power back.

It became the 30–45 minutes a day where I could just be—with no one asking me for anything, no pressure to be perfect, and no expectation to have it all together.

Some days I lift weights.

Some days I stretch and breathe.

Some days I just move so I don’t stay stuck in my own head.

And that’s enough.

๐Ÿง  Movement as Mental Health

Fitness has become my therapy in the most unexpected ways:

It helps me release anxiety when my thoughts are loud

It gives me structure on days when my motivation is low

It reminds me I’m capable—even when my mind tells me otherwise

It’s my grounding practice when everything feels overwhelming

No, it doesn’t “cure” my OCD or erase the hard days. But it does remind me I’m stronger than my struggles.

๐Ÿ’ซ My Current Routine

Right now, I’m doing a mix of:

Morning Meltdown 100 (yes, I’m deep into it and loving the progress!)

Quick YouTube strength workouts for extra burn

Evening walks or stretches when I need a mindset reset

Listening to uplifting podcasts or music while I move

Journaling how I feel after—because the after is always better

It’s not about perfection. It’s about consistency. And listening to my body.

๐Ÿ’› My Message for You

If you’re struggling, stuck, or overwhelmed—start small.

A 5-minute stretch. A walk with your dog. A dance party in the kitchen.

Let movement be medicine. Let it be your moment to breathe. Let it remind you:

You’re still here. You’re still fighting. And that matters.

Fitness may not be the fix for everything. But for me, it’s been part of my healing toolkit—and I’m so grateful I found it.

Sunday stealing  Who Are you? Part 7 – It is Over!  Part 7: Self Image 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you:   I wake up at 6:00am, take a shower, get ready for the day, then I go downstairs and feed the critters, and make breakfast for hubby and I.  We usually leave the house by about 7:30ish and I drop my husband off at work.  Then I work (I'm a Pet Groomer) until about 3:30 or 4:00ish then I leave for home and go get my hubby from work.  Then I come home and make dinner, feed the critters, work on cleaning the house a little and we usually head to bed about 8:30ish or 9:00. 85. ๐ŸŒฟ CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. ๐Ÿ’› What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar?
