๐Ÿ’‡‍♀️ A Week in My Hair Recovery Routine: What I Use + Why

Posted in The Wellness Den | May 15, 2025

Let’s talk about something no one wants to go through—but way too many of us do: hair loss.

After losing nearly 50% of my hair’s volume and density, I found myself in the middle of a confidence crisis I never saw coming. My hair was thinning, breaking, and falling out in clumps. I was embarrassed, devastated, and desperate for answers.

If you’re going through it too, please hear me when I say: you are not alone—and there is a path forward. ๐Ÿ’›

Today, I want to walk you through what a typical week in my hair recovery routine looks like. It’s not an overnight fix, but it’s gentle, consistent, and focused on real healing from the inside out.

๐Ÿ—“ My Weekly Hair Recovery Routine

Here’s a breakdown of what I use, why I use it, and how it all works together to support regrowth, scalp health, and stronger strands:

๐Ÿงด

Daily: Gentle Shampooing

Yep—daily. I used to be afraid of over-washing, but my dermatologist assured me that clean, clear scalp = happy follicles.

I rotate between:

  • Tea Tree Shampoo (for scalp clarity + circulation)

  • EverPure Bond Repair (for strength + damage recovery)

  • Nizoral Anti-Dandruff (2x/week for inflammation and shedding control)

This combo keeps my scalp balanced and resets oil production without being too harsh.

๐ŸŒฟ

Daily: Green Compass Collagen Peptides

Collagen has been a game-changer.

I use Green Compass Collagen Peptides daily for internal support—promoting elasticity, circulation, and stronger regrowth from within. It’s clean, bioavailable, and doesn’t mess with my sensitive system like others have.

๐Ÿ’Š

Daily: Hair, Skin & Nails Supplements

I take a targeted vitamin blend rich in:

  • Biotin

  • Folic Acid

  • Zinc

  • Vitamin D

  • MSM

This has helped rebuild strength in both my hair and nails, while also supporting my mood and energy levels.

๐ŸŒ™

Nightly: Hair Oiling + Scalp Massage

Every night before bed, I apply a nourishing oil (usually argan or rosemary-infused) to my scalp and gently massage it for 5–10 minutes.

This stimulates blood flow, calms my nervous system, and supports healthier follicles while I sleep.

I also sleep on a silk pillowcase and loosely braid my hair to minimize friction.

๐Ÿ’จ

3–4x/Week: Blow Dry with Heat Protectant

I no longer let my hair air-dry unless I absolutely have to. Damp scalps can breed yeast and slow down recovery.

Instead, I use a low-heat blow dry with a clean heat protectant to fully dry my roots without frying my strands.

๐Ÿ’—

Mindset, Hydration, and Rest

Hair loss isn’t just about products—it’s about lifestyle. I focus on:

  • Staying hydrated (I aim for half my body weight in ounces of water daily)

  • Prioritizing rest (deep sleep = deeper healing)

  • Managing stress through CBD, walking, journaling, and slowing down

Because the body can’t heal in survival mode.

๐ŸŒผ Why I’m Sharing This

I’ve had so many of you reach out asking what’s helped me most—so this is me, peeling back the curtain.

Not every day is easy. Not every product works overnight. But this routine has brought my hair back to life, and more importantly… it’s brought me back to life, too.

If you’re in the thick of it—shedding, stressing, hiding under hats—I see you.

And I’m here to remind you: you’re not alone. You’re not broken. And you can heal.

๐ŸŒฟ CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. ๐Ÿ’› What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar?
