๐Ÿ’‡‍♀️ What I Wish More People Knew About Hair Loss (Especially Women)

Posted in The Wellness Den | May 23, 2025

Hair loss isn’t just about hair.

It’s about confidence.

It’s about identity.

It’s about grief—and healing—and the stories we carry quietly.

As women, we’re taught to tie so much of our worth to how we look.

So when your hair starts thinning, falling out in clumps, or changing in texture… it can feel like your world is shifting underneath you.

I know, because I’ve lived it.

And today, I want to share what I wish more people knew—especially other women navigating this painful, personal, and often silent experience.

๐Ÿ’› 1. Hair Loss Is More Common Than You Think

You’re not alone—seriously.

Millions of women experience hair thinning or loss due to stress, hormones, medications, autoimmune issues, nutrition, and even the products we trust most.

But because we rarely talk about it, so many of us suffer in shame and silence.

It’s time we normalize this conversation.

Hair loss doesn’t make you less beautiful.

It makes you human.

๐Ÿฉถ 2. It’s Not Just Physical—It’s Deeply Emotional

Losing hair is hard—not just on your appearance, but on your heart.

For me, it brought anxiety, body image struggles, and even fear about how others would perceive me.

I grieved. I cried. I felt lost in my own reflection.

Hair is tied to femininity, youth, confidence—and when it changes, it can feel like you’re losing parts of yourself, too.

This emotional toll is real—and you deserve space to process it.

๐ŸŒฟ 3. Healing Isn’t Linear—But It

Is

 Possible

Recovery isn’t a straight line. There are wins, setbacks, and lots of trial and error.

But healing is possible—especially when you give your body what it needs to thrive, not just survive.

For me, that meant ditching products that were harming me, seeing a dermatologist, nourishing from the inside out, and creating consistent, gentle routines.

✨ Green Compass Collagen Peptides

✨ Scalp massage + oiling

✨ Daily hair growth support supplements

✨ Rotating clean, effective shampoos

✨ Getting real sleep and reducing stress (CBD helped here, big time)

My hair isn’t just growing back. I’m growing back.

๐Ÿ™…‍♀️ 4. The Shame Around Hair Loss Has to Go

Hair loss doesn’t mean you failed.

It doesn’t mean you’re broken.

And it absolutely doesn’t mean you should hide.

What helped me most was realizing this:

I didn’t cause this by being careless or vain.

My body was asking for support—and I finally listened.

Let’s create more spaces where women can share honestly about hair, hormones, stress, and healing—without fear or shame.

๐Ÿซถ 5. You Deserve to Feel Beautiful Through Every Phase

Even in the regrowth stage.

Even when you’re shedding.

Even when your ponytail isn’t as thick as it used to be.

You’re still beautiful.

You’re still worthy.

You’re still you.

Hair may change—but your light doesn’t.

If you’re struggling with hair loss, please know: I’m here. You’re not alone. And there is a way forward.

๐Ÿ“ฒ You can always message me at @waiting.4.sunshine if you want to talk, vent, or ask what’s helped me most.

Let’s keep showing up—for ourselves, and for every other woman silently walking this path.

With compassion + courage,

Heather

๐ŸŒฟ CBD and Hormones: What Every Woman Should Know

Posted in The Wellness Den | June 14, 2025 Let’s be real: being a woman comes with a lot of hormonal ups and downs. Mood swings. Fatigue. Bloating. Brain fog. Anxiety. Sleep issues. And don’t even get me started on the perimenopause rollercoaster. Whether you’re in your 20s or late 40s (like me!), hormones influence everything —your energy, mood, digestion, skin, cycle, and emotional balance. But here’s something most women don’t hear enough: CBD can help. Not as a magic pill or miracle cure—but as a powerful tool that supports your body’s natural rhythms and helps bring balance when everything feels off. ๐Ÿ’› What Happens When Hormones Are Out of Whack? When estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones get thrown off, you may feel: Anxious or irritable Wired but tired Struggling with sleep or concentration Sluggish digestion or metabolism Cravings, mood dips, and PMS from another planet Sound familiar?
